Aside from size, one of the main differences between xiaolongbao and mini xiaolongbao are the way they are folded. Mini xiaolongbao are steamed with their folds facing down and they are served with shredded egg soup. They are traditionally enjoyed by dipping them into the rich broth and then eating them whole.
